Manuka Honey Chai Tea

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 teaspoons whole fennel seeds
  • 8 green cardamom pods
  • 2 cinnamon sticks, broken into pieces
  • 10 black peppercorns
  • 10 whole cloves
  • 1 star anise pod, broken into pieces
  • ⅓ cup Manuka Honey
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 tea bags black tea

DIRECTIONS

Step 1
Toast the spices in a medium saucepan over medium heat till fragrant. Add water. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Cover, and simmer for 10 minutes.

Step 2
Remove from heat, and add to tea bags. Steep another five minutes, then remove tea bags.

Step 3
Strain, then stir in milk and honey. Serve. 

Note: Make sure you put the honey in last so that your honey doesn’t get overheated!
